This time AEK used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Thessaloniki 64-63 on Saturday night. Spanish point guard Joaquin Colom (188-88, college: Lleida, agency: Interperformances) fired 9 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American Ian Hummer (201-90, college: Princeton) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. AEK's coach Stefanos Dedas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Shakur Juiston (201-96, college: Oregon) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds and Canadian guard Olivier Hanlan (193-93, college: Boston Coll.) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. AEK (2-2) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Apollon P. Aris lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with Ionikos and Larissa BC. AEK will meet Ionikos (#10) in the next round. Aris will play against Lavrio and hope to win that game.
