Very important is a road loss of first ranked Brose Bamberg (4-1) against fourteenth ranked Braunschweig (2-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Brose Bamberg was defeated by Braunschweig in a tough game in Braunschweig 84-90. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Brose Bamberg. Braunschweig forced 19 Brose Bamberg turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The former international Robin Amaize (196-94) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners and American point guard Tookie Brown (180-95, college: Georgia South) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. Braunschweig's coach Jesus Ramirez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International power forward Christian Sengfelder (202-95, college: Boise St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Justin Robinson (170-95, college: Monmouth) scored 14 points and 9 assists. Four Braunschweig and five Brose Bamberg players scored in double figures. Braunschweig moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Giessen and Crailsheim. Brose Bamberg at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Heidelberg. Braunschweig will play against Crailsheim Merlins (#13) on the road in the next round. Brose Bamberg will play against ALBA Berlin (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
