Regular Season Round 6: Bernau - Schwelm 61-81
Date: October 23, 2021
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Schwelm and 11th ranked SSV Lok Bernau had identical 1-3 record. But SSV Lok Bernau was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Schwelm 81-61 on Saturday night. Marco Hollersbacher (202-0) notched 20 points to lead the effort and American guard Glen Burns (191-95, college: Chicago St.) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by Christoph Tilly (210-3) did not help to save the game for SSV Lok Bernau. Rikus Schulte (206-4) added 9 points and 7 rebounds. SSV Lok Bernau's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Schwelm (2-3) moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Rhoendorf. SSV Lok Bernau at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Duesseldorf and Koeln. Schwelm will meet at home higher ranked Rist Wedel (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SSV Lok Bernau will play against TKS 49ers in Stahnsdorf and hope to win that game.
