Regular Season Round 4: Oviedo - Castello 70-85

Undefeated Oviedo (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Castello (3-1) 85-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oviedo. Castello shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. The winners were led by point guard Joan Faner (176-90) who scored that evening 17 points and 7 assists and American forward Eric Stutz (205-92, college: EKU, agency: Players Group) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Castello's coach Toni Ten allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points and 5 assists by Norwegian guard Harald Frey (185-97, college: Montana St.) did not help to save the game for Oviedo. American forward Sean McDonnell (203-95, college: Westmont) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Oviedo players scored in double figures. Castello moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Oviedo. Castello will meet at home Lleida (#6) in the next round. Oviedo will play against Almansa and hope to secure a win.
