Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for American-Slovakian Kyle Kuric (193-89, college: Louisville) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. American Cory Higgins (196-89, college: Colorado, agency: Network Sports International) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. Nigerian center Micheal Eric (210-88, college: Temple) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and French forward Axel Bouteille (201-95, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Unicaja in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Barca have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Unicaja at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Barca will play against Fuenlabrada (#15) in Madrid in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Unicaja will play on the road against Andorra (#17) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
