Regular Season Round 7: Poitiers - Tarbes-Lourdes 72-77

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Poitiers (4-3) against seventh ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (4-3) on Tuesday night. Host Poitiers was defeated by Lourdes-Tarbes in a tough game in Poitiers 72-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Poitiers. It was a great evening for forward Calvin Jubenot (198-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Kilian Incredule (175-96) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side Croatian Lovro Mazalin (204-97) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Kevin Mendy (200-92) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Poitiers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Poitiers. Lourdes-Tarbes will meet at home Lorient (#5) in the next round. Poitiers will play against Toulouse and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
