Regular Season Round 7: Rueil - Challans 91-85

Very predictable result when second ranked Rueil (6-1) beat at home 14th ranked Vendee Challans (1-6) 91-85 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for point guard Warren Racine (188-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field). Ismael Cadiau (194-98) helped adding 12 points and 4 assists. At the losing side naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Thibault Desseignet (178-98) scored 14 points and 7 assists. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Rueil maintains second place in Group A with 6-1 record behind leader Angers. Vendee Challans lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Bordeaux. Rueil will meet Dax-Gamarde (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vendee Challans will play against JSA Bordeaux (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
