Regular Season Round 7: Neptunas-Akv. - Zalgiris II 66-91

Bottom-ranked Neptunas-Akv. (0-7) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to tenth ranked Zalgiris II (3-4) 91-66 on Thursday evening. Zalgiris II looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Titas Sargiunas (190-3) fired 22 points and 9 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Liutauras Lelevicius (201-3) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Lukas Kreismontas (197-1) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zalgiris II moved-up to eighth place, which they share with LSU-Atletas. Loser Neptunas-Akv. still closes the standings with seven games lost. Zalgiris II will meet at home Delikatesas (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Mazeikiai and hopes to get finally their first victory.
