Regular Season Round 10: K.Sokoly - Budivelnyk 105-99

An interesting game for K.Sokoly (7-3) which hosted in Kharkiv one of their biggest challengers Budivelnyk (6-4). Second ranked K.Sokoly managed to get a 6-point victory 105-99. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It looked good early as Budivelnyk took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then K.Sokoly had a 35-24 second period charge getting the lead and Budivelnyk was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 99-105. K.Sokoly players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Mike Davis (193-96, college: Queens, NC) scored 20 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Dajuan Graf (185-92, college: NCCU) chipped in 14 points and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side Puerto Rican guard Gian Clavell (193-93, college: Colorado St.) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists and American center Drew Gordon (206-90, college: N.Mexico, agency: Network Sports International) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Five K.Sokoly and four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. K.Sokoly have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader Prometey. Budivelnyk at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Khimik. K.Sokoly will play against bottom-ranked Cherkasy (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Budivelnyk will play against Dnipro (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
