Very important is a home loss of first ranked Lucenec (4-2) against fourth ranked Spisski Rytieri (4-2) on Friday night. Host Lucenec was defeated by Spisski Rytieri in a tough game in Lucenec 75-84. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Spisski Rytieri outrebounded Lucenec 37-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. American Grant Dressler (201-97, college: Chaminade) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Marko Stevanovic (203-94) chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Che Bob (198-96, college: Colorado St.) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Desure Buie (179-97, college: Hofstra) scored 19 points. Five Spisski Rytieri and four Lucenec players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Lucenec. Spisski Rytieri will play against league's leader Levice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lucenec will play against Iskra Svit and hopes to get back on the winning track.
