Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Orchesien BC (4-4) was outscored on the road by third ranked Caen (6-2) 74-53 on Friday. Caen made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Caen had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American Kevin Bracy-Davis (202-95, college: Davis & Elkins) who scored that evening 19 points and American-German center Waverly Austin (211-91, college: Oregon, agency: BIG) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 8 points and 9 rebounds by forward Jeremy Ricard-Dorigo (200-94) did not help to save the game for Orchesien BC. Guard Simon Cretaux (190-89) added 8 points and 5 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Caen have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Boulogne. Loser Orchesien BC dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Caen will meet GET Vosges (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Orchesien BC will play against Kaysersberg (#9) and hope to secure a win.
