Regular Season Round 7: Hagen-Haspe - Wulfen 91-97

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Hagen-Haspe (3-3) was defeated at home by ninth ranked BSV Wulfen (3-3) 97-91 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Bulgarian swingman Lyuben Paskov (196-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Manuel Bojang (184-1) helped adding 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four BSV Wulfen players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Daniel Westbrook (208-95, college: Barton, NC) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and forward Oscar Luchterhandt (195-91) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Hagen-Haspe's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BSV Wulfen moved-up to sixth place in West, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hagen-Haspe. BSV Wulfen will meet Hamm (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hagen-Haspe will play against Ibbenbueren (#3) and hope to secure a win.
