Regular Season Round 7: Ludwigsburg - Mannheim 113-75

There was an upset when higher ranked Mannheim (3-3) was crushed on the road by eleventh ranked Ludwigsburg (2-3) 113-75 on Sunday. Ludwigsburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Mannheim's players. It was a great evening for point guard Lukas Herzog (187-1, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Paul Minjoth (195-3) helped adding 23 points. Four Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. Ludwigsburg's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-91, college: AAMU) responded with 48 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Matthias Meier (195-97) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Ludwigsburg moved-up to tenth place in South West, which they share with Langen. Mannheim lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with three games lost. Ludwigsburg will meet higher ranked Tuebingen 2 (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mannheim will play against the league's second-placed Stuttgart having rather not much hope for a victory.
