Regular Season Round 6: Constanta - Focsani 69-78

The most important game in the last round took place in Constanta between third ranked Constanta (4-2) and twelfth ranked Focsani (2-4) on Sunday night. Constanta was defeated by Focsani in a tough game at home 69-78. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Constanta won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) scored 27 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Justin Baker (203-89, college: Utah Valley) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Baker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was the former international Vlad Corpodean (192-91, agency: BIG) with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Jakob Lowrance (206-97, college: Central Mo., agency: One Motive Sports) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Constanta players scored in double figures. Constanta's coach Alexandru Olteanu rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Focsani moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Dinamo B. Constanta at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Craiova and Ploiesti CSM. Focsani is looking forward to face higher ranked Steaua B. (#9) in Bucuresti in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Constanta will play on the road against Ploiesti CSM (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
