Regular Season Round 12: K.Sokoly - Dnipro 69-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Kharkiv between second ranked K.Sokoly (8-4) and sixth ranked Dnipro (6-5) on Friday night. K.Sokoly was defeated by Dnipro in a tough game at home 69-76. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of K.Sokoly. K.Sokoly trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 19-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-76 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (205-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Rashad Vaughn (198-96, college: UNLV) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Dnipro's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American Max Mahoney (203-98, college: Boston U.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Dajuan Graf (185-92, college: NCCU) added 9 points and 12 assists respectively. Dnipro maintains sixth position with 6-5 record. K.Sokoly at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Budivelnyk. Dnipro are looking forward to face higher ranked Budivelnyk (#4) in Kyiv in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. K.Sokoly will play on the road against Cherkasy and is hoping to win this game.
