Regular Season Round 8: Porrino - La Flecha 75-71

There was no surprise when 7th ranked La Flecha (4-4) lost on the road to fourth ranked Porrino (7-1) 75-71 on Saturday. The winners were led by point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) who scored that evening 21 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Javier Dominguez (199-94) supported him with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 15 points and 4 assists by guard Eduardo Castano (186-0) did not help to save the game for La Flecha. David Paniagua (197-0) added 13 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Porrino moved-up to second place in Group A-B, which they share with Obradoiro S. and La Antigua. Loser La Flecha keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Porrino will meet Chantada (#6) on the road in the next round. La Flecha will play against Leon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
