Regular Season Round 8: Torrent - Castello 2 85-70

Everything went according to plan when top-ranked Torrent (6-0) defeated at home 7th ranked Castello 2 (1-5) 85-70 on Saturday. The winners were led by forward David Calero (193-99) who scored that evening 18 points and 5 rebounds and Mark Hetor (197-1) supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds by forward Unai Lacalle (198-91) did not help to save the game for Castello 2. Forward Nacho Garcia (193-0) added 16 points for the guests. Four Castello 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Torrent have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group E-A with 6-0 record. Castello 2 lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. Torrent will meet league's second-placed Lliria on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Castello 2 will play against Godella (#5) and hope to win that game.
