Regular Season Round 8: MBK Ruzomb. - SKP 08 BB 67-43

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ruzomberok. Top-ranked MBK faced 4th ranked SKP 08 BB. Host MBK (7-0) smashed guests from Banska Bystrica (4-3) 67-43. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SKP 08 BB. MBK forced 24 SKP 08 BB turnovers and outrebounded them 37-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. American forward Marte Grays (188-96, college: DePaul) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Radka Stasova (169-97) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four MBK players scored in double figures. Center Nina Janstova (189-4) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Zuzana Vargova (184-2) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for SKP 08 BB. SKP 08 BB's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. MBK have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-0 record. SKP 08 BB at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. MBK will play against league's second-placed Piestanske C. in Piestany in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SKP 08 BB will play at home against Young Angels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
