Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Akhisar Bld (0-6) was edged at home by ninth ranked Balikesir (3-3) 86-85 on Sunday. Balikesir outrebounded Akhisar Bld 42-31 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Mark Lyons (185-89, college: Arizona) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Carlton Bragg Jr (208-95, college: N.Mexico) accounted for 23 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Bulut Altin (188-93) came up with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Berkay Kansu (191-97) added 18 points respectively for Akhisar Bld in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Balikesir moved-up to seventh place, which they share with OGM Orman and Manisa. Akhisar Bld lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost.
