Rather predictable result when third ranked Sokol Prazsky (6-2) won against 7th ranked Lokomotiva (1-7) in Plzen 72-68 on Sunday. Sokol Prazsky made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sokol Prazsky made 7 blocks. The winners were led by guard Matous Jurman (186) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and forward Petr Sovicek (200) supported him with 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by guard Vojtech Klicka (191-4) did not help to save the game for Lokomotiva. Guard Ondrej Novak (180) added 12 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sokol Prazsky maintains third position in League with 6-2 record having four points less than leader USK Praha. Loser Lokomotiva keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Sokol Prazsky will meet Sokol Pisek (#4) on the road in the next round. Lokomotiva will play against Hradec in J.Hradec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
