Regular Season Round 11: Caen - Lyon 75-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second-ranked Lyon CTC's (7-4) road loss to first ranked Caen (9-2) 62-75 on Tuesday. Caen outrebounded Lyon CTC 35-23 including 21 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Senegalese center Moise Diame (206-86) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Bryson Pope (199-90, college: Kent St.) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Caen players scored in double figures. American-Icelandic forward Michael Craion (197-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Elwin Ndjock (193-93) added 13 points respectively for Lyon CTC in the defeat. Lyon CTC's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Caen. They maintain first place in Group B with 9-2 record. Lyon CTC lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Caen will meet CFBB (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lyon CTC will play against Orchesien BC (#8) and hope to secure a win.
