There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Turk Telekom (3-5) edged 11th ranked Bursaspor (3-5) in Ankara 83-82 on Saturday. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by center Octavius Ellis (208-93, college: Cincinnati, agency: Network Sports International) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Aaron Harrison (198-94, college: Kentucky, agency: Network Sports International) supported him with 18 points. Even 22 points by Allerik Freeman (190-94, college: NC State, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Bursaspor. Andrew Andrews (188-93, college: Washington) added 20 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Turk Telekom moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Bursaspor. Turk Telekom will meet higher ranked Gaziantep (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bursaspor will play against Buyukcekmece (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
