Regular Season Round 9: La Flecha - Leon 85-90

Not a big story in a game in Arroyo Encomienda where 9th ranked La Flecha (4-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Leon (7-2) 90-85 on Saturday. Leon dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to La Flecha's 34. The best player for the winners was Argentinian swingman Federico Copes (199-2) who scored 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Alan Morchon (188-99) chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was David Paniagua (197-0) who recorded 32 points and 7 rebounds and guard Eduardo Castano (186-0) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Leon. They moved-up to fourth place in Group A-B, which they share with Porrino.
