Regular Season Round 8: RIG Mark - Helsingborg 73-94

Helsingborg can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Kinna, where they outplayed RIG Mark (0-8) 94-73 on Saturday. Helsingborg dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to RIG Mark's 30. They outrebounded RIG Mark 46-22 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Erik Joelsson (196-97) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Bosnian point guard Nebojsa Maksimovic (184-92) chipped in 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Helsingborg players scored in double figures. Forward Felix Brostrom (201-3) produced 28 points and 5 rebounds and forward Elliot Caldwell (198-2) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Helsingborg (1-5) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. It was RIG Mark's eighth loss in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Helsingborg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. RIG Mark will play on the road against Team4Q (#10) in Helsingborg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
