Undefeated leader Sokol delivered the ninth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Kociewskie Diably (5-4) 112-98 in Starogard Gdanski. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kociewskie Diably. Sokol made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Marcin Nowakowski (184-89) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 assists for the winners and guard Michal Lis (187-2) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Filip Stryjewski (193-99) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 assists and swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (199-92) scored 22 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kociewskie Diably's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Sokol. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Loser Kociewskie Diably keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Sokol will meet at home Znicz (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kociewskie Diably will play against the league's second-placed Tychy (#2) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the EBL just one year after relegation.
