Regular Season Round 9: Pisz - Polonia W-wa 60-92

Everything went according to plan when leader Polonia W-wa (8-0) outleveled on the road 14th ranked Pisz (1-8) 92-60 on Saturday. Polonia W-wa forced 23 Pisz turnovers and outrebounded them 46-19 including a 34-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Patryk Pelka (202-89) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Adam Anusewicz (196-3) chipped in 18 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Coach Andrzej Kierlewicz's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Mateusz Bessman (184-99) with 17 points and 4 steals and guard Patryk Zapert (187-2) scored 13 points. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Polonia W-wa. Newly promoted Polonia W-wa maintains first place in Group B with 8-0 record. Pisz lost their seventh game in a row. Pisz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Polonia W-wa will meet at home Piaseczno (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pisz will play against Hutnik W-wa (#10) and hope to win that game.
