Regular Season Round 7: Rimini - Ozzano 76-62

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Ozzano (4-3) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Rimini (4-2) 76-62 on Sunday. Rimini outrebounded Ozzano 44-33 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Andrea Tassinari (187-96, agency: SLN) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 assists. Francesco Bedetti (195-93, agency: SLN) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. Rimini's coach Mattia Ferrari used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Gioacchino Chiappelli (198-91, agency: SLN) responded with 18 points and Alessandro Ceparano (198-1) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Rimini moved-up to sixth place in B. Loser Ozzano dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Vicenza. Rimini will meet league's second-placed Imola on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ozzano will play against Senigallia (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
