Everything went according to plan when third ranked Seawolves (7-2) defeated 10th ranked Falcons (4-5) in Nuernberg 95-79 on Sunday. Seawolves shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Chris Carter (193-92, college: Florida Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Nijal Pearson (196-97, college: Texas St.) supported him with 23 points. Seawolves' coach Christian Held used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Evan Taylor (196-96, college: Nebraska) did not help to save the game for Falcons. Naturalized Cameroonian Roland Nyama (198-93, college: Stony Brook) added 14 points for lost side. Four Falcons players scored in double figures. Seawolves have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Tuebingen. Loser Falcons keep the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Bochum. Seawolves will meet at home Uni Baskets (#6) in the next round. Falcons will play against Eagles (#16) in Itzehoe and hope to secure a win.
