There was a minor upset in Santiago de Comp where 12th ranked Zaragoza (4-7) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Obradoiro (4-7) 87-82. American center Henry Ellenson (208-97, college: Marquette) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Canadian guard Kassius Robertson (190-94, college: Missouri) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. American Matt Mobley (192-94, college: St.Bonaventure) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and American-Ivorian center Deon Thompson (204-88, college: UNC, agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Zaragoza. Five Obradoiro and four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Zaragoza's coach Jaume Ponsarnau tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Obradoiro moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Andorra and Zaragoza. Obradoiro will play against Andorra (#13) on the road in the next round.
