No shocking result in a game in Kolobrzeg where fourth ranked Kotwica (9-2) smashed 14th ranked Ksiezak (3-8) 104-73 on Saturday. Kotwica dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Ksiezak's 34. They outrebounded Ksiezak 42-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. Kotwica looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Remon Nelson (175-90, college: USC Aiken) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 4 assists and Mikolaj Kurpisz (203-98) who added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Michal Jankowski (191-87, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Daniel Dawdo (197-99) scored 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kotwica have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Ksiezak dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Dziki Wwa and Koszalin. Kotwica will meet Kociewskie Diably (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Ksiezak will play against Krakow (#7) and hope to secure a win.
