Regular Season Round 11: Bramsche - Cuxhaven 79-81

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Bramsche (4-7) was edged at home by seventh ranked Cuxhaven (6-5) 81-79 on Saturday. Cuxhaven made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Desmond Ringer (206-94, college: Mercer) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Italian center Filippo Ampomah (196-93) helped adding 15 points. Four Cuxhaven players scored in double figures. Swedish guard Hugo Florestedt (196-98, college: Temple JC) responded with 21 points and American center Cole Walker (206, college: Ferris St., agency: Hamriding Sports Management) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Bramsche's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cuxhaven moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Neustadt TSV and Berlin BG 2000. Loser Bramsche dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Wusterhausen. Cuxhaven will meet at home Berlin BG 2000 (#7) in the next round. Bramsche will play against the league's leader Westerstede and hope to secure a win.
