No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Baerum Basket (7-6) crushed 9th ranked Centrum (2-11) in Oslo 78-58 on Wednesday. Baerum Basket forced 19 Centrum turnovers. American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) notched 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the former international guard Stian Mjoes (183-89) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Baerum Basket players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds by the former international power forward Johannes Dolven (206-96, college: Barry) did not help to save the game for Centrum. Forward Georg Helvik (201-3) added 12 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Baerum Basket maintains sixth position with 7-6 record. Centrum lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Baerum Basket will meet at home Ammerud Bskt (#8) in the next round. Centrum will play against Asker Aliens and hope to secure a win.
