The game in Ternopil was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Budivelnyk (13-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Ternopil-TNEU (6-11). Budivelnyk managed to secure a 7-point victory 78-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ternopil-TNEU. It looked good early as Ternopil-TNEU took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Budivelnyk had a 25-18 second period charge getting the lead and Ternopil-TNEU was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-78. American center Alec Brown (216-92, college: Green Bay) nailed 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) accounted for 22 points and 6 assists. American forward Joe Furstinger (208-96, college: N.Mexico, agency: Mansfield and Associates) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 6 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Ternopil-TNEU in the defeat. Four Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Budivelnyk. They maintain second place with 13-4 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Prometey. Ternopil-TNEU at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Odessa. Budivelnyk's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kyiv to the arena Kyiv Basket.
