Regular Season Round 17: Prometey - Khimik 90-61

Superleague top team - Prometey (15-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Khimik (8-9) in Kamianske 90-61. The game was mostly controlled by Prometey. Khimik managed to win second period 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Prometey dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Khimik's 32. They outrebounded Khimik 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and swingman Chris Dowe (189-91, college: Bellarmine, agency: GoEmpire Group) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. Forward Christian Jones (201-93, college: UNLV, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Delano Spencer (190-94, college: Tennessee St.) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prometey have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. Khimik lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Prometey are looking forward to face Odessa (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Khimik will play against Zaporizhye in Zaporozhye and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
