A2 top team - Karditsas (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Napfliou (0-8) 114-53. Karditsas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Napfliou's 38 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Karditsas forced 25 Napfliou turnovers and outrebounded them 57-23 including a 24-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Napfliou's players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Ioannis Bourousis (214-83) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Thodoris Tsiloulis (185-0) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Karditsas' coach Demetris Liogas felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin forward Igor Cvorovic (206-96) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and Athanasios Tsagdis added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Karditsas have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Loser Napfliou still closes the standings with eight games lost. Karditsas will meet Charilaos (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Napfliou will play against Agriniou (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
