Regular Season Round 8: Ponferrada - Marbella 72-76

There was an upset when higher ranked Ponferrada (5-3) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Marbella (3-5) 76-72 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Devin Wright (201-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Adrian Fuentes (183-87, agency: Promo Sport ID) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Swingman Guillermo Mulero (191-97, agency: Duran International) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Adam Fravert (203, college: UW-Oshkosh, agency: Duran International) scored 15 points. Four Marbella and five Ponferrada players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Marbella moved-up to eleventh place in Silver. Loser Ponferrada keeps the third position with three games lost. Marbella will meet Carbajosa (#13) on the road in the next round. Ponferrada will play against Cantabria (#4) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
