There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Chorale de Roanne (5-5) defeated on the road higher ranked JSF Nanterre (5-5) 86-82 on Saturday. Chorale de Roanne looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Swingman Ronald March (196-93, college: Philander Smith) notched 22 points to lead the effort and power forward Juvonte Reddic (206-92, college: VCU) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). March is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by forward Thomas Wimbush (201-93, college: Fairmont St.) did not help to save the game for JSF Nanterre. Guard Nick Johnson (191-92, college: Arizona) added 6 points and 9 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Chorale de Roanne have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated JSF Nanterre. Chorale de Roanne will meet at home JL Bourg (#9) in the next round. JSF Nanterre will play against JDA Dijon and hope to secure a win.
