The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Cluj Napoca as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cluj Napoca smashed 13th ranked Rapid at home 107-75. The game without a history. Cluj Napoca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rapid's 32. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth place with eight games lost. Rapid will play next round against Sibiu trying to get back on the winning streak.
