An interesting game where Ibbenbueren (#3) beat host Recklinghausen (#5) with 15-point difference 87-72 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Recklinghausen. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Spanish Marco Porcher Jimenez (193-92, college: FIU) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 assists and Marcello Schroeder (201-87) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Dutch forward Tyson Kanseyo (203-95, college: Azusa Pacific) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and Lennard Kaprolat (187-2) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Recklinghausen's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ibbenbueren (8-4) moved-up to second place in West, which they share with Deutzer. Loser Recklinghausen dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Bonn 2 and Leverkusen 2. Ibbenbueren will meet at home Hertener Loewen (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Recklinghausen will play against Dorsten (#13) and hope to secure a win.
