Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Estonian Tallina U. (2-9) was outplayed on the road by top-ranked Latvian TTT Riga (8-0) 93-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. TTT Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TTT Riga outrebounded Tallina U. 51-21 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tallina U.'s players. Power forward Laura Meldere (190-1) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian center Daugile Sarauskaite (196-96) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. Five TTT Riga players scored in double figures. TTT Riga's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Estonian point guard Birgit Piibur (162-94) with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Laina Mesila-Kaarmann (186-87) scored 13 points. TTT Riga have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending Latvian champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kibirkstis. Tallina U. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with nine games lost.
