Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva and 8th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv had identical 3-4 record. This time Hapoel Beer Sheva used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Tel-Aviv 88-82 on Saturday night. Even 27 points and 5 assists by American guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. International power forward Idan Zalmanson (206-95, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 18 points for the guests. Five Hapoel Beer Sheva and four Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Beer Sheva (4-4) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with H.Galil Gilboa and Bnei Hertzeliya. Loser Hapoel Tel-Aviv dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with H.Haifa. Hapoel Beer Sheva will meet higher ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against the league's leader Hapoel Jerusalem (#1) and hope to secure a win.
