Regular Season Round 5: Peja - Prizreni-16 97-60

One of the most interesting games of round 5 was a derby match between two teams from Kosovo. Fifth ranked Peja outleveled visiting Prizreni-16 (3-2) 97-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Prizreni-16. Peja forced 25 Prizreni-16 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Polish-Kosovan Dardan Berisha (190-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists for the winners and American guard Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSUB) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. Five Peja players scored in double figures. Center Urim Zenelaj (213-91, agency: Interperformances) responded with 6 points and 15 rebounds and Arti Hajdari (190-93) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Peja moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Prizreni-16. Peja will meet bottom-ranked Vllaznia (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Prizreni-16 will play against Teuta (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
