Betclic ELITE ProA top team - Metropolitans (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Cholet Basket (3-7) in Levallois 97-62. Metropolitans made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Cholet Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 36-19 including a 24-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Keith Hornsby (192-92, college: LSU) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Will Cummings (188-92, college: Temple) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Metropolitans players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Yoan Makoundou (206-0) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and South Sudanese-American guard Peter Jok (198-94, college: Iowa) scored 13 points. Metropolitans have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Cholet Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Chalons-Reims and Paris. Metropolitans will play against Provence Basket (#12) in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Cholet Basket will play at home against Gravelines-Dunkerque and hopes to get back on the winning track.
