Regular Season Round 8: Bursaspor - Turk Telekom 77-85

The biggest surprise of round 8 in U19 League was guest Turk Telekom's (4-4) road victory over 5th ranked Bursaspor (3-5) 85-77 on Sunday evening. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Bursaspor helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Ismet Ozturk (-4) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Batuhan Acar (179-2) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Mithat Ozalp (-2) produced 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Eren Cinar (-3) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Turk Telekom moved-up to fifth place in League. Bursaspor at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Turk Telekom are looking forward to face Yalovaspor (#8) at home in the next round. Bursaspor will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
