Rather predictable result when second ranked Zadar (9-2) defeated at home 6th ranked Skrljevo (6-6) 95-81 on Tuesday. It was a great shooting night for Zadar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Skrljevo's players. American swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Alti Sport) fired 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Martin Junakovic (188-94, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists. Four Zadar players scored in double figures. Zadar's coach Vladimir Anzulovic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Nik Slavica (205-97, agency: PEPI SPORT) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and swingman Josip Barnjak (193-98) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Zadar have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 9-2 record behind leader Split. Loser Skrljevo keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Zadar will meet Cedevita Jr. (#4) in the next round. Skrljevo will play against Osijek and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
