There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Dinamo V. (3-8) beat on the road higher ranked Univ.Surgut (7-4) 88-74 on Tuesday. Dinamo V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tyron Harris (188-91, college: Columbus St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists and Belarusian guard Kirill Sitnik (190-89) who added 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Aleksey Karpeko (203-89) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and guard Sergey Chernov (184-86) scored 16 points and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Dinamo V. maintains thirteenth position with 3-8 record. Loser Univ.Surgut dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Dinamo V. will meet at home higher ranked Barnaul (#8) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Univ.Surgut will play against CSKA 2 in Moscow and hope to secure a win.
