Regular Season Round 12: Lucenec - Komarno 82-85

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Nike SBL took place in Lucenec. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Lucenec (6-5) to second ranked Komarno (8-3) 85-82 in the game for the second place. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Vuk Djordjevic (203-99) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists and American guard Jorden Duffy (185-96, college: N.Texas) who added 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Komarno players scored in double figures. Komarno's coach Zlatko Jovanovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American swingman Che Bob (198-96, college: Colorado St.) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jan Zorvan (201-95) scored 19 points. Komarno have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Komarno maintains second position with 8-3 record behind leader Levice. Lucenec at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Handlova. Komarno are looking forward to face Iskra Svit (#6) on the road in the next round. Lucenec will play against Spisski Rytieri in Nova Ves and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
