Regular Season Round 12: La Flecha - Univ.Valladolid 74-75

There was a minor upset in Arroyo Encomienda where 8th ranked La Flecha (6-7) was edged by tenth ranked Univ.Valladolid (6-7) 75-74 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was power forward Alvaro Encinas (202-94) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Alberto Garcia (196-99) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Pablo Martin (199-1) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Eduardo Castano (186-0) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively. La Flecha's coach Juan Velez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Univ.Valladolid moved-up to eighth place in Group A-B, which they share with Betanzos and La Flecha. Univ.Valladolid will meet at home higher ranked Chantada (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. La Flecha will play against the league's leader La Antigua where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
