Important game to mention about took place in Nova Ves. Fifth ranked Handlova (6-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th ranked Spisski Rytieri (6-6) 72-69 on Wednesday evening. The winners were led by American forward Deandre Abram (203-97, college: Milwaukee) who scored that evening 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Michal Cekovsky (211-94, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five Handlova players scored in double figures. Even 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard David Dennis (185-97, college: Nova SE) did not help to save the game for Spisski Rytieri. Serbian Ivan Gavrilovic (205-96) added 16 points. Handlova moved-up to third place, which they share with Lucenec. Defending champion Spisski Rytieri dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Handlova will play against league's leader Levice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spisski Rytieri will play against Lucenec (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
