Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Dnipro (10-7) won against at home 9th ranked Ternopil-TNEU (6-13) 91-87. The hosts were already 17 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 29-16 Ternopil-TNEU's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 91-87 at the end of the game. Dnipro made 19-of-20 charity shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Ternopil-TNEU outrebounded Dnipro 38-25 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard DJ Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side the former international power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Dominykas Domarkas (192-92) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 assists. Five Dnipro and four Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. Dnipro have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Ternopil-TNEU lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Dnipro will play against higher ranked Kyiv Basket (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ternopil-TNEU will play against K.Sokoly (#4) in Kharkiv and hopes to get back on the winning track.
